BV Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş. Establishes Synergy Venture Capital Investment Fund

The Capital Markets Board (SPK) has approved the establishment of the Synergy Venture Capital Investment Fund (BV Sinerji) under BV Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş.

BV Sinerji aims to invest in disruptive technology companies by applying a “co-investment” strategy together with successful venture capital funds, investment banks, and other strategic investors both in Turkey and abroad. The co-investment system has been in use in the U.S. since the 1990s and holds a 10–15% share of all global investments.

About the Fund

The duration of BV Sinerji, including its liquidation period, is ten years. The fund generally targets startups operating in areas such as:

  • Information technologies

  • Communication technologies

  • Finance

  • Mobile technologies

  • Software technologies of all kinds

  • Industrial technologies

  • Agricultural technologies

BV Sinerji may invest alone or together with other domestic or international venture capital funds, strategic investment companies and holdings, investment and development banks, VC organizations (venture capital companies, angel investor networks, etc.), and angel investors, aiming to generate synergy.

The primary sectors BV Sinerji aims to invest in include:

  • Software-based services

  • Financial technologies (fintech)

  • Gaming

  • Mobility as a Service (MaaS)

  • Software as a Service (SaaS)

  • Healthcare

  • Agriculture

  • Industrial technologies

  • E-commerce

  • Education

  • Hardware development

The fund may also invest in other sectors outside these categories.

BV Sinerji mainly targets startups that have moved beyond the idea stage into the incubation phase but have not yet fully scaled to reach large customer bases. The goal is to become a partner in their foundation and operations through knowledge transfer and financial investment. Investee startups are expected to demonstrate the ability to bring their ideas to life and to align their growth ambitions with the commercial potential of their business.

Once the BV Sinerji issuance certificate is approved by SPK, the fund will be offered to investors. Investors will benefit from tax planning, the opportunity to channel R&D incentives into investment diversity, the power of acting together with the ecosystem, the chance to participate in entrepreneurial opportunities, dividend payments, and strong return potential.
